On  Diwali, everyone wakes up early in the morning. Do oil bath (Ganga bath). People would dress up , explode firecrackers, make lots of sweets and exchange with each other. Enjoy giving gifts.

 Get up before sunrise in the morning and rub sesame oil called good oil all over the body and take a bath in hot water. You can add nauruvi (நாயுருவி) leaf, zucchini(சுரைக்காய்) leaf etc. Thus the grace of Goddess Lakshmi is available.During this important celebration, donating as much as possible to the poor, the needy, and perhaps even those who do not even have food, can receive the full blessing of Mahalakshmi by donating food.

   Lakshmi Kubera Puja should be performed on that day. Lakshmi Kubera is believed to have amassed a wealth of worship by adorning herself with a picture or urn and counting 21 Arali bud Arali leaf bread and adorning herself well with home-made jewelery.

~Debt settlement:
